Ocean City High School Baseball Team Advances to South Jersey Final
The Red Raiders will face Highland Regional in the final on Friday.

Ocean City, NJ -- The Ocean City High School baseball team is one win away from a South Jersey title.
The top-seeded Red Raiders defeated No. 4 Mainland, 3-2 in eight innings, to advance to the finals of the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 playoffs on Wednesday, according to nj.com.
Ocean City will face No. 2 Highland, a 5-0 winner over No. 6 Toms River South, in the finals on Friday.

Matt Lashley scored the Red Raiders’ winning run on a throwing error in the eighth inning, according to the report.
Ocean City took the early lead on a two-run homer by Nick Artymowicz in the first inning.

Mainland tied the game in the sixth. This time, it was the Mustangs’ Kyle Gerace with a two-homer, setting up Lashley’s heroics.
Ocean City opened the playoffs with a 13-5 win over No 16 Absegami.
They followed their win with a 6-0 win over No. 9 Central Regional.
