Ocean City High School Girls Basketball Team Captures South Jersey Title
The Red Raiders compete in the state semifinals on Wednesday.

The Ocean City High School girls basketball team is at the top of the heap in South Jersey, and is looking for more.
The top-seeded Red Raiders defeated No. 3 Toms River East, 37-29, to win the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 title on Monday night, according to nj.com.
Olivia Briggs led the way with a game-high 12 points, followed by Nicole Piergross and Grace Sacco, who each scored seven points.

Toms River East held the lead after one quarter, Ocean City led at halftime, and the game was tied after three quarters. Ocean City outscored Toms River East, 13-5, in the final quarter to capture the title.
The Red Raiders advanced to the final with a 22-16 win over No. 4 Winslow in the semifinals.

In the quarterfinals,Ocean City defeated No. 9 Absegami, 49-34.
Ocean City defeated No. 16 Central Regional, 48-36, in the first round.
The Red Raiders aren’t done yet. They will meet Middletown South in the State Group 3 semifinals on Wednesday night at Deptford, 6 p.m.
