Ocean City High School Girls Swim Team Captures First State Title
The Red Raiders snapped Chatham's five-year reign as state champion to claim the Public B title.

The Ocean City High School girls swim team came from behind in the meetās final event to capture its first state championship with an 86-84 win over Chatham, nj.com reports.
Ocean City won the 400 freestyle relay, coming from behind in the last 100 yards, with a time of three minutes, 32.17 seconds at The College of New Jersey on Friday in the final of the NJSIAA Public B state tournament, according to the report.
The Red Raiders snapped Chathamās 103-meet winning streak and five-year reign as state champion with a number of 1-2 finishes, according to the report.

Amanda Nunan was the anchor of the 400 freestyle relay and won two individual events, including the 200 freestyle (1:49.51) and the 100 freestyle (51.47). She was also on the winning 200 freestyle relay team (1:37.92).
Maggie Wallace was the lead swimmer on the 400 freestyle relay, and was also on the winning 200 medley relay (1:47.79). She also won the 100 backstroke (57.28).

Amber Glenn was on the 400 freestyle relay and 200 freestyle relay, and won the 500 freestyle (4:55.24).
Andrea Teofanova rounded out the 400 freestyle relay team.
The state title came in Steve Warringtonās first year as coach.
Ocean City advanced to the state final with a 101-69 win over Manasquan in the semifinals.
Ocean City advanced to the state tournament after capturing its third consecutive sectional titlewith a 97-73 win over Moorestown.
Before that, the Red Raiders picked up a 104-66 win over No. 4 Clearview in the South Jersey Public B semifinals.
