Officials Warn Of Travel On Flooded Roads In Ocean City Tuesday Morning
Some roads were covered in water about an hour before high tide Tuesday morning.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Many streets in Ocean City are already covered with water Tuesday morning.
City officials are warning residents not to drive through flood water, and to stay off the roads altogether unless it is absolutely necessary to travel.
Specifically, residents are advised to avoid Bay and West avenues. Anyone who must travel should use the avenues near the beach, including Wesley and Central, as they offer the best north-south routes on the island.

Flooding plagued a number of areas along the Shore on Tuesday. Streets in LBI and Belmar, among other places, were dealing with water.
A Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect until 3 p.m. Tuesday. High tide in Ocean City was at 10:14 a.m., and was projected to reach 7.22 feet on the mean low water scale.

A High Wind Warning is in effect until 4 p.m. Wind gusts of up to 50 mph have been reported.
Power outages are virtually non-existent in Cape May County Tuesday morning, but other areas are experiencing problems related to the heavy rain that has pounded the area.
Flooding has been reported on NJ 147 in both directions Maryland Av in North Wildwood. All lanes are closed.
Flooding has been reported on NJ 47 in both directions north of CR 624/West Rio Grand Ave in Lower Township. All lanes are closed.
A speed restriction is in place on the Atlantic City Expressway in both directions from Atlantic City Convention Center/Eastern Terminus in Atlantic City to Western Terminus - NJ 42 in Washington Township. The speed limit is 35 mph, MOVE OVER FOR HIGHWAY WORKERS.
