Resident Proposes Year-Round Indoor Waterpark For Ocean City
Justin Flood introduced his idea, which is in the preliminary stages, at last week's council meeting, according to reports.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — A local man presented a plan to bring a year-round indoor waterpark and resort hotel to Ocean City last week. Justin Flood said he met with the mayor and members of council privately, but first presented the idea publicly at the Nov. 30 city council meeting, according to published reports.
The project would cost between $250 million and $300 million, and Flood expects it to create about 300 jobs, OCNJ Daily reports. He estimated it could generate about $100 million for Ocean City.
Although there are no specifics yet, Flood visualizes a luxury hotel on Eighth Street near the Boardwalk with an enclosed water park on the other side of the street and a walkway connecting the two, according to the Cape May County Herald. He will need the city’s permission to use two of their public parking lots in the area.
Members of council didn’t comment publicly on the proposal.
