South Jersey Boy, 14, Critically Hurt, Struck By 2 Cars: Cops
The boy was riding a bicycle when he was struck, police say.

A 14-year-old South Jersey boy was critically hurt this week after he was struck by two cars while riding his bicycle, police said.
The Vineland boy sustained severe injuries and was transported to Cooper Hospital where he is currently in critical condition, police said. At this time, no charges have been filed.
The accident happened on Saturday at approximately 8:24 p.m. when members of the Vineland Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit responded to a report of an accident involving a bicycle, police said.

Police were dispatched to the area of Franklin Drive and South Brewster Road where they learned that a 2002 Ford Explorer pickup truck, operated by 17-year-old Vineland boy, struck the boy on a bike, police said. The truck driver was traveling southbound on South Brewster Road crossing over Franklin Drive when the accident occurred.
The truck driver pulled over and went to tend to the 14-year-old Vineland boy. The bicyclist was then struck by a 2012 Hyundai Accent operated by a 65-year-old woman who was also traveling southbound on Brewster Road, police said.

The investigation is still ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available. The investigation is being conducted by Officer Agustin Santiago of the Traffic Safety Unit.
