Steve’s Grilled Cheese & Quesadilla Company (4.5 stars). Some sample reviews:
“If you like great food and great service this is the place. Samantha and Tom took care of my party of 13. They were great! We had five small children...and handled the kids like champs. Thank you! The prices are reasonable. The service was friendly and prompt. They are top of the game. The food....Amazing. We loved the menu. And casual atmosphere. We ordered the bean and buffalo chicken nachos. Along with the macaroni squares....loved them all. Our group ordered different grilled cheeses and quesadillas. Everybody enjoyed their meal. We will be going back. Total win.”

“Steve's is a shore find when in Ocean City, NJ. My lil guy loves grilled cheese & quesadilla's so put them together and he is in paradise! I first want to add that when you check in on Yelp you are offered a free mini appetizer which was a gorgeous basket of amazing piping hot fried pickles. There are some other choices for your freebie as well. The service was amazing fast and friendly. I chatted with our server who provided some of their popular options. A lovely gal. After we scarfed down the pickles and sipped teas from our cute glass mason jars we ordered the buffalo chicken grilled cheese (all grilled cheese come with choice of tomato soup or fries). A great choice. Zesty buffalo sauce, creamy bleu cheese, and melty cheese on a thick toasty bread. My daughter ordered the peanut butter cup which is her fav PB & Nutella toasted. She is a bird when eating but finished the whole thing. My son ordered his fav cheese quesadilla and did not speak a word as he devoured his. We left with full food baby stomachs and will definitely return. Check this place out!!!”
“Food was delicious, and it made us want more! Fried mac-n-cheese is a giant, beer-battered slab that is to die for! Small order gets you two heavenly chunks. Sandwiches were tasty and nicely made. Fries were crispy but possibly sat too long/greasy. The cheese had a bit of a Cajun flare, so know that the queso is a bit spicy, and the tomato soup is NOT your typical Campbell's. It's good, but different - with a taco type undertone. You decide if you like it. We were 1 for 2. Decent lunch spot though. Worthy of return.”

OC Surf Cafe (4.5 stars). Some sample reviews:
“I love this place! The only bummer is having to wait on the weekends but for good reason. I always make it a ritual to stop when in town. The menu is very reasonably priced. It is always stacked with fresh, local foods. There is a brightly colored, clean decor with only about 12 tables. Although small in size, you never feel cramped. The owner is a friend of mine so I may be biased in my review, but he is the nicest chef I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He always hires local high school kids to work which shows his dedication to the community. The whole family also works here, putting their heart and soul into it. You can see the sense of pride going into each aspect of the restaurant. Put this on your list of "go to's". I guarantee you will not be disappointed.”
“We've been here several times for breakfast and each time is better than the last. You can't go wrong with the savory or sweet options. The service is always friendly and quick. The prices are very reasonable and the quality of food is excellent. The coffee is great too. It's our favorite breakfast spot in OC. We've done take out for lunch and the food has also been great.”
“Absolutely delicious!!! We had breakfast at the cafe yesterday thanks to Yelp reviews and are so glad we did! The OC Surf Cafe is a little house that was turned into a restaurant. The whole thing is decorated with bright beach colors, surfboards and beach signs. You definitely feel like you're at the shore. We had about 10 minute wait for our table and the crowds kept coming. Our waitress was very friendly and nice. The water even tastes delicious. I had the Dawn Patrol which is 2 eggs, toast and breakfast potatoes. I subbed toast for fruit. The eggs were delicious. The breakfast potatoes are out of this world. We could not stop eating them. And the fruit cup is a lot of fruit of different summer varieties. The star of the meal was my sister's Broccoli Cheddar egg white omelette. Incredible. It was so fluffy and stuffed with broccoli and cheese. It is also served with toast and a side. The prices are reasonable and service is quick. Definitely the best breakfast in OC if not all of Jersey!”

Ivy Pho (4.5 stars). Some sample reviews:
“I've been coming down to OCNJ since I was a kid. I love the town, but the restaurant offerings aren't terribly diverse, so when this place opened up, I was hopeful it could add something a little different to downtown, and I have to say, Ivy Pho exceeded my expectations. I went here with my girlfriend, who loves Pho and southeast Asian cuisine as a whole. We ordered house sauce wings, a pork bahn mi, and a bowl of "supreme" pho. We weren't quite sure what to expect with the wings, but they had a very unique(and tasty!) flavor, particularly when seasoned with the dry spice mix served alongside them. Bahn mi and pho of course are staples, and Ivy Pho does both well. The sandwich ingredients were nicely proportioned and not at all dry, Our "medium" bowl of pho was quite a generous helping, and the broth managed to balance the many competing flavors that give pho its signature flavor. My girlfriend assures me the various meats and tendons were delicious as well, although I didn't work up to trying some of the more adventurous ones myself. Our hostess/server was extremely friendly, stopping in to check on us frequently and chatting with me a bit about the restaurant and the town after our meal. It's also worth mentioning that by OCNJ standards, Ivy Pho is downright cheap. While the low end of two dollar signs is about right for the menu on average, one could easily get a meal here for under $10 as well. Overall, Ivy Pho was a great experience and I wholeheartedly recommend it, especially if you're staying in town for a few days and looking for a change from pizza and hoagies.”
“I had the beef pho (#1), pork spring rolls, and the pork bahn mi. The pho was on point. No flaws. Same with the spring rolls. Pork bahn mi was fine. It wasn't on a baguette but an Italian roll. Other than that, no complaints.”
“Pho in Ocean City? What a great and awesome option this new eatery in Ocean City offers! We ordered the Iced Vietnamese coffee, Spring Rolls with Shrimp, Pho with Chicken and Pho with Rare Steak. The service was friendly and efficient. Portion sizes for the Pho were large. We ordered a small bowl of Pho and a medium bowl that we asked be served in a large bowl. Both sizes were substantial and neither of us completly finished our portions. The great thing about Pho is that you can adjust the taste to your liking, by adding more Sriracha sauce, brown sauce, basil, bean sprouts, etc. Once I customized my bowl of Pho to my taste and made it more spicy, it was absolutely delicious. The Spring Rolls were fresh and tasted great as did the accompanying peanut sauce. Our spring rolls came out after we already received our entrees. Ideally, we wanted these before - but not a big deal.”
