Some calling it the biggest legislative race in the state.

The pundits are starting to call the election in the 38th district the biggest legislative race in the state.
For Paramus residents, the race features familiar faces in two former Council members: Connie Wagner, who is running to keep her seat in the Assembly, and John Driscoll, who is trying to unseat Sen. Robert Gordon.
It's not just public opinion that has pushed the 38th to the top of an election year that has every seat in the state legislature up for grabs. It's money.

Sen. Richard Codey has contributed more than $85,000 to the Bergen County Democratic campaign fund, helping make the 38th district legislative race the most expensive in all of New Jersey.
Some of the money has gone toward video campaigns from both sides, some making dubious claims, at least according to PolitiFact. But it remains to be seen whether all this interest will actually drive people to the polls during an off-year election, when turnout is usually even lower than normal.
