Puppies Found Outside Just Pups Will Be Put Up For Adoption
67 puppies were found outside of the Paramus Just Pups store on Route 17 last month.

PARAMUS, N.J. — The 67 puppies found inside a van behind the Just Pups store on Route 17 on April 4 will be put up for adoption.
Paramus Mayor Richard LaBarbiera announced in a Facebook post Wednesday afternoon that the puppies "have finally been turned over for adoption."
Tyco Animal Control has been caring for the dogs since they were found inside a 38-degree van outside of the store.

The puppies were not put up for adoption sooner because they were considered evidence in an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office that looked into the practices of Just Pups owner Vincent LoSacco. LoSacco and his brother have been charged with 134 animal cruelty violations as the result of the investigation.
"This is not the end, as we must continue to push to ban the sale of puppy mill puppies in New Jersey," LaBarbiera said.
