Allendale Festival Day and Car Show
The Allendale Chamber of Commerce’s Festival Day and Car Show is scheduled this year for Saturday, Oct. 1 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. along West Allendale Avenue in Allendale. The annual event takes over the entire town of Allendale and features over 100 vendor tables, a Centerstage and a new Centerstage East with live entertainment throughout the day, a petting zoo, food from local restaurants, children’s rides and games, an obstacle course, clowns and balloons, among other attractions. For the first time this year, the event will feature a pony ride from noon until 3 p.m. Children can visit all of the Chamber sponsored attractions for just one $5 donation. A pet parade at 11 a.m. will be followed by the blessing of the animals, with pie baking contest and scarecrow contest results announced at noon. The Car Show, held in the commuter parking lot beyond the clock tower at the end of Allendale Avenue, features antique and classic cars and accessory vendors.
