Before the advent of radio, chamber music was accessible--music for the masses. People from nearly every segment of society enjoyed it. Inspired by the classical training of her younger years – Esperanza Spalding’s new project Chamber Music Society is a mashup: a modern chamber music group that combines improvisation with string trio arrangements weaving jazz, folk and world music traditions into the enduring foundations of classical music.
