Founded in 1983, by Carlota Santana and Roberto Lorca, the dance company’s mission is to bring flamenco music to mainstream audiences. The dance company has performed throughout the country, including a recent show at Symphony Space, in Manhattan, where the performers showcased the development of flamenco dance over the last two centuries. They also have performed for disadvantaged youth and low-income communities.
Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana is a premier Spanish dance company. Through its form, rhythms and intensity, the performers integrate Spanish dance into schools’ arts programs and bridge the gap of cultural differences.
