Local Girl Scout Brings “Back to Beauty” Skin Care Workshops to Bergen County Libraries
Girl Scout is using her Gold Award project to help local children and teens learn healthy skin-care habits

At 17 years old, Kathryn Wall is taking her commitment to helping her community to the next level through her Girl Scout Gold Award project, “Back to Beauty.”
As part of the project, Kathryn will present a series of free educational workshops at four Bergen County libraries, giving local children and teens an opportunity to learn about healthy skin care and develop habits they can carry with them for years to come.
The workshops will provide practical, age-appropriate information about skin care and help participants better understand how to care for their skin. The goal is to give young people useful information they can apply in their everyday lives while helping them make informed choices about skin-care products and routines.

For Kathryn, “Back to Beauty” is an opportunity to combine her interest in skin care with her desire to educate and serve other young people in her community.
The workshops are free and open to the public. Children and teens who are interested in attending, along with their parents and caregivers, are encouraged to contact the individual libraries.
Through “Back to Beauty,” Kathryn hopes to reach young people across Bergen County and leave them with more than just information about skin care: she hopes to give them the knowledge and confidence to make healthy choices for themselves.
