NJM Insurance Group Donates $7,500 to Bergen Volunteers’ Youth Leadership Development Programs
Hackensack, New Jersey – NJM Insurance Group (NJM), a leading property and casualty insurer in the Mid-Atlantic region continues its corporate partnership with Bergen Volunteers by supporting the organization’s civic leadership program, Teen LEADS as well as the Bergen READS program.
Similar to the non-profit’s flagship Bergen LEADS, Teen LEADS is a high school level program that offers an interactive approach to training, discussions with community leaders, and on-site studies of topics including local government and policy creation. Students are required to research and come up with solutions to a community-related issue in a capstone project for the betterment of the county. NJM’s funding will also go toward the Bergen READS program for elementary students where engaged and active youth can continue to develop skills, and achieve goals.
