Paramus Cop Honored For Saving Teen's Life
Officer Matt Lombardo used a department-issued tourniquet to save Jason Criscuolo's life.

PARAMUS, N.J. — If it wasn't for Matthew Lombardo, Jason Crisouolo would not be alive.
Lombardo, a Paramus police officer, received the Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Award from American Legion Post 147 in Elmwood Park for saving Crisouolo's life. Crisouolo was walking across Route 17 in Mahwah when he was struck by a pickup truck.
Lombardo was a Mahwah police officer at the time. He arrived at the scene and tied a department-issued tourniquet around Crisouolo's left leg.

Crisoulo survived the accident, but his left leg was amputated below the knee.
