WATCH: Paramus Bus Crash Victim Meets Michael Kay
Brendan O'Callaghan is a big Michael Kay and New York Yankees fan. He appeared on Kay's show on the YES network and ESPN Radio Monday.
PARAMUS, NJ — Brendan O'Callaghan got to meet one of his idols Monday.
O'Callaghan is one of the East Brook middle-schoolers who was injured when the bus he and 44 others were on collided with a dump truck on Interstate 80 May 17.
O'Callaghan is a big New York Yankees and Michael Kay fan. He met Kay and co-hosts Don LaGreca and Peter Rosenberg on "The Michael Kay Show" Monday.

O'Callaghan appeared on the show with his parents and two of the first responders, John D'Onofrio and Tom Borgia, who rescued him and the others who were on the bus. He even did a few impressions of Kay, which made Kay smile.
O'Callaghan was in the hospital for 13 days following the crash. He came home May 29. He received a signed hockey stick from the New York Rangers' Henrik Lundqvist and a signed card from the team. He also received signed memorabilia from the Yankees' Aaron Judge and C.C. Sabathia.

It was the first time D'Onofrio and Borgia saw O'Callaghan since the crash.
"I can't even describe it. His recovery is amazing," D'Onofrio said.
Two people, Miranda Faith Vargas, 10, and Jennifer Wiliamson-Kennedy, 51, a fifth-grade teacher, died in the crash.
Kay gave O'Callaghan and his family a few tickets to a Yankees game this weekend.
