Critique on Focus Article Giving Back To Parsippany- Township. How?

Focus has an interesting article on "underage vaping" entitled Giving Back to the Parsippany-Troy Hills Township Community. In my opinion students spending time investigating "different perspectives of the vaping epidemic" could of better spent their time researching, the phenomena of why so many deny climate change caused by industrial man or a economy based on fossil fuels.
It is amazing how so many simply deny something that is so basic and easily understood. Carbon or carbon sequestration is the key to all life. Plants through their power of photosynthesis use sunlight to sequester carbon from the atmosphere, and through their respiration give oxygen back to the atmosphere. This carbon cycle is the reason our planet became habitable, and through the miracles of nature's power of self-organization, and evolution brought more sophisticated plants, trees, and finally animals and humans into being. Billions into millions of years of stored carbon, detritus matter absorbed, and stored by plants in the form of coal, oil, gas, have in the modern times, (less than 500 years) been thrown back into the atmosphere.

The earth is now no longer in a state of dynamic equilibrium, where the amount of energy in an open system equals what is taken in and given out. Because of human impacts such as deforestation, and other disturbances of modern development nature has been made simple, weaker and more disorganized. Our planet due to the industrial/technological societies is now in a state of entropy a process in which a system becomes disorganized and simple because it loses more energy from transformations. In short it is a scientific fact, we are now emitting more carbon through the use of fossil fuels than remaining nature is capable of sequestering, the planet is actually starting to die. All things have limits, and violating or ignoring those limits have consequences; cumulative impacts and effects mount.

When people in high places of political power and control, tell us climate change is a hoax, or it does not exist, or as a recent candidate for Vice President stated; carbon has nothing to do, with climate, or that clean air and water can be had without government regulation and enforcements, they represent a "clear and present danger" to our future, health and wellbeing as a collective humanity on this finite earth.

Back to the vaping aspect of the article. Vaping is a degenerate pastime, unhealthy and in reality prohibited by law by the Surgeon General of the United States. E-cigarette aerosol contains chemicals, including some that can cause cancer. The waste from these products, plastics cartridges, packaging, cheap metal, and wires, can be scene littered about the communities, like the cigarette waste but worse. How products like this are allowed to begin with should of been part of the Anti-Vaping Podcast. The choice originates with the manufacturer knowing producing a product of harm, not the individual choice of having the unhealthy product available for sales.

Consider the poor, and costly health system we have here in the US, and wonder why promoting unhealthy products is given a laissez faire?! How exactly is Vape progress. and not something other like, who cares how "we" make "our" money?!
