February is National Children’s Dental Health Month and on "Give Kids A Smile Day" (observed on February 3), our associates spent the day volunteering with our DDNJ Foundation grantee KinderSmile Foundation, which is dedicated to eradicating dental disease in NJ's children ages 12 and under.

Associates volunteered at three KinderSmile locations in Trenton, Bloomfield, and the Boys & Girls Club of Newark, engaging kids in games, the floss dance, and more while they awaited their dental care.

The Delta Dental of New Jersey Foundation provided KinderSmile with a $10,000 SMILE grant to support their Give Kids A Smile Day events. KinderSmile estimated it treated more than 350 kids, providing more than $100,000 in free dental services.

“Give Kids a Smile” Day was launched nationally by the American Dental Association in 2003 to provide underserved children with access to dental care.
