The Upsiders serve up a heaping helping of the best in rock & roll, jump blues, rockabilly, & swing from the 50s, 60s and 70s. The quartet has it covered, with favorites from Elvis to Sinatra and everything in-between -- Motown, Mersey Beat, blue-eyed soul and more! In an age where it’s getting harder and harder to find these fine sounds on the radio, the Upsiders feel it’s their duty to keep the music they love alive. The Upsiders feature several of the best players in the New Jersey.
According to Dennis Dicken, the band’s drummer (and founding member of the Smithereens), "We wanted to have a band like the combos we saw at church picnics, dances and weddings when we were kids in the sixties. Those musicians were fantastic and they were have a ball on stage. That sense of fun was contagious and the audience couldn’t help but feel it too. That’s what The Upsiders are all about. If people walk away with a smile on their face, then our mission is accomplished!"
Suggested donation: $10 for adults; $5 for students; children with adults are free.
