MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A major overnight fire has decimated several apartments and businesses on a busy street in Morris County.

Thursday morning, between midnight and 1 a.m., a fire broke out on Main Street in Butler, according to the American Red Cross New Jersey Chapter.

Emergency officials say five people from three families were left homeless after the blaze. The organization is providing food, shelter, clothing, and mental health services for those affected.

The fire was extinguished before 6 a.m. No injuries were reported.
