Former Parsippany Employee, Navy Veteran Dies at 75

Philip Calinda lived in the township for 33 years.

Philip Calinda, Sr., spent 33 years living in Parsippany and worked for many of those years as a road inspector for the township.

He died recently at the age of 75, his obituary said.

Calinda was born and raised in Madison before moving to Parsippany. He served in the United States Navy for four years before being discharged in 1961. Calinda worked for the township until his retirement in 2006.

Upon retirement Calinda moved to Tuckerton, where he was a member of the Republican Club and Wicked Rides Car Club of South Jersey.

He is survived by four sons and six grandchildren.
