• The Karate Kid Returns to Parsippany's Veterans Memorial Park on October 17th for Free Family Movie Day (TAPinto.net) — Families in Parsippany can head to Veterans Memorial Park on Saturday, October 17 for a free outdoor screening of The Karate Kid, complete with bounce amusements starting at 2 p.m. and the movie at 3 p.m. Admission, popcorn, and water are free while supplies last, and residents are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets—but leave pets at home.

• Parsippany High Shuts Out Hopatcong 6-0 on Homecoming Night (parsippanyfocus.com) — Parsippany High School fans had plenty to cheer about as the Redhawks secured a 6-0 homecoming win over Hopatcong, capped by a dramatic goal-line stand at the Parsippany 2-yard line. A clutch catch by Jake Behnke set up Shane Petzinger's lone touchdown, while a loud home crowd helped the defense preserve the shutout in the final seconds.
