How Much Is COVID Spreading In Parsippany?

PARSIPPANY, NJ — It's not clear what path the coronavirus may take this fall. But here's what we've seen in Parsippany recently.
Morris County averaged 69.1 new cases per day in the past week after averaging 71.8 infections per day the prior week, according to the New Jersey Department of Health.
Parsippany saw 53 new cases from Sept. 22 to Friday, hitting 4,709 total infections since the pandemic began. That's a 1.14 percent increase to the total in nine days.

Here are the local hospital ICU statistics as of Friday, according to the Department of Health and Human Services:
- Morristown Medical Center: 27.39 percent of ICU beds available
- Saint Clare's Denville Hospital: 79.49 percent of ICU beds available
- Kindred Hospital New Jersey - Morris County (Dover): ICU bed data unavailable
- Overlook Medical Center (Summit): 53.62 percent of ICU beds available
- Saint Barnabas Medical Center (Livingston): 55.26 percent of ICU beds available
