July 4th 2022: Find Fireworks Near Parsippany

PARSIPPANY, NJ — After two years of cancellations and modifications, residents across the country are looking forward to many of the traditional Independence Day activities that mark the summer holiday. July 4 is Monday, so there’s still time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022.
We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Parsippany:

- Where: Parsippany Hills High School
- When: July 4: Hometown band Overboard will take the stage at about 7:30 p.m. Fireworks will start at dark — typically around 9:30 p.m.
The Parsippany Police Department shared the following:
"*Please plan alternate travel routes if you are not attending the event. There will be traffic delays in the area of Rt. 53, Park Rd., Brooklawn Dr. and Route 202 during this time.
*Everyone in attendance will proceed through a Police checkpoint prior to entry.
*Intoxicated persons will be DENIED entry.
*All BAGS & CONTAINERS are subject to inspection.
*THE FOLLOWING IS PROHIBITED:
- GLASS CONTAINERS
- ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
- PETS
- PERSONAL FIREWORKS (Even the Legal ones)
- DRONES (or other types of Aircraft)
*PARKING FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES (Proper Placards Must Be Possessed) - Limited Parking at the Tennis Courts. Access can be gained via Glencove Road. Golf carts will be present to assist with transporting people needing assistance on the hill.
*O.E.M. PERSONNEL AVAILABLE FOR ASSISTANCE:
We will have volunteer members of the Parsippany Office of Emergency Management wearing Hi-Visibility Lime/Green Shirts at the event available for directions & guidance."

- Where: The parade route will begin at Tingley Road
- When: 9 a.m. July 4
- What else to know: Residents are encouraged to participate in the parade by entering a float, decorating their bikes, polishing their antique cars, or dressing their dogs in fun, patriotic attire. At the conclusion of the parade route, there will be a community celebration with activities for the entire family.
- Where: The parade will start at the intersection of Hillside Avenue and Main Street
- When: 10:30 a.m. July 4
- What else to know: On July 4, the mayor and council will raise the flag and inspect the fire department at the Borough Firehouse at 9:15 a.m. The parade will start at the intersection of Hillside Avenue and Main Street at 10:30 a.m. and will proceed down Main Street to Chatham Middle School.
- Where: Chatham Middle School, 480 Main St.
- When: 7 p.m. July 4
- What else to know: The gates will open at 7 p.m., and the public is invited to enjoy musical entertainment by New Jersey's premier vintage rock and soul band, The Star Band, prior to the fireworks.
July Fourth Celebration at Morristown National Historical Park
- Where: Washington's Headquarters, 30 Washington Pl., Morristown
- When: activities begin at noon July 4
- What else to know: After a "Warm-Up for the Declaration," a reading of the Declaration of Independence will begin at 1 p.m. Following the reading, the Ford Mansion will be open for self-guided tours, with re-enactors in period dress bringing life to the mansion.
