Knoll Golf Public Utility or Closed Circle?

A public utility is an entity that provides goods or services to the general public. So how could the Public benefit from a Golf Course?

Open Letter to Town Council, Mayor and Knoll Golf Public Utility.

Knoll Golf Committee/ Parsippany Environmental Committee/ Mayor James Barberio
The Knoll Country Club Advisory Committee shall serve as a voice of the public, and shall have the obligation and function to advise the Township Council and the Department staff on such matters as shall pertain to the planning, budgeting, regulation and use of the Township owned and managed golf courses and facilities.

Tree Removal Plan; Reasons?
What is the Knoll Management Tree Plan that sanctioned the removal of all these trees? Observation reveals some of these trees certainly appear healthy and certainly are not the Ash Species, now being infested by emerald ash borer. Some of the trees; oaks appear to quite old for New Jersey. Did anyone perform species and estimated ages of these trees? At the very least the trees deserved that much recognition; and should be common knowledge shared with the public. We need older trees now more than ever; as the earth's biosphere continues to be degraded into deeper states of entropy.

Landscape Enhancement including curtailing removing invasive plant species.

It is also obvious despite all these energy invested in tree removal; no such effort is being applied in enhancing and removing the "invasive species" that dominate the Knoll Landscape, including the wooded lots that surround the Golf Courses. With all the labor force and equipment available this task could easily be accomplished; replacing the exotic/invasive barberry/ and knotweed with native plant species. This would be a positive use of the Herbicide; that is used at the Knoll. The barberry can be extracted by machinery; or cut down to ground level, and roundup applied with dappers, this would kill the roots and then allow latent native plants to return; or replanting native species in their place.

Parsippany can request the Morris County Rutgers Gardner; and Municipal Departments can request volunteers in this endeavor of Landscape Enhancement. There is plenty of work here to last; and fees generated by the Knoll should be used to keep enhancing this Landscape of 335.58 acres. No Transparency exists as far as known (by me) as to how all these fees are used or spent.

Knoll Landscape enhancement can be a educational tool to learn invasive plant and native species for local residents; and volunteer labor can be summoned for projects for example: barberry curtailment removal in the wooded lots of the River Sensitive Green Acres.

Green Acres/ River Sensitive Receipts Are evidence Police Attention Required
In all respects the totality of all the acres including the surrounding wooded lots need to be cared for. Having been engaged in trash/litter abatements in the area almost 10 years now, the frequency and volume of the abuse is tremendous. What good is policing the area if one is not connected to something higher; Municipal Forces, like Police or Parks and Forestry. It is the same people that abuse the area; same trash, same places, same people, yet the Police seem to feel that nothing can be done despite finding receipts with times and dates from surrounding franchises, and at times mail. This constitutes beyond reasonable double; my labor demonstrates clearly a before and after testimony. In short the town neglects this area; or puts it off to weak, pass through ,one a year "clean community summer teams"which simply go through the motions. ( can tell a story of my experience with one crew) (We don't clean-up we abate; move senseless waste free market products from one place to another)

The Knoll and Parsippany can do much better. Not allowing this discussion open to the public is contrary to any sound policy for a "public utility" gotten with Green Acre Tax Dollars.

It is requested this Correspondence be Shared with all Members of the Knoll Golf Advisory Committee & Parsippany Environmental Committee, and a reply be forthcoming.

Sincerely

Learn the true meaning of wasting one's time. We now are paying for the mess, the mess has no positive purpose but senseless for profit consumption; at your; our cost!
