Large Fire At Parsippany Shopping Plaza: Firefighter Hurt, Road Closed
The cause and scope of the fire remain under investigation, according to the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — A major fire broke out early Tuesday morning at the Green Hill Plaza, a shopping center in Parsippany. The incident hospitalized a firefighter and caused a road closure.
The Parsippany Police and Fire Departments responded to the fire at 170-182 Parsippany Rd. at about 12:40 a.m. Tuesday. Firefighters are still extinguishing the fire, which is in stable condition, officials told Patch at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
One firefighter was taken to the Morristown Medical Center and is in stable condition.

The scope and cause of the fire remains under investigation, according to the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.

Asked whether anyone needed to get evacuated from the shopping plaza, a Morris County Prosecutor's Office spokesperson said they have "nothing further at this time."
The fire prompted officials to close Parsippany Road between Barnsboro and Allentown Roads. The road reopened at about 11:15 a.m.
