RECENT LETTER ON WATER CAUSING UNDUE ALARM
Don't Complain be Concerned and Learn

The time to be concerned about "our water supply" is all the time; not when you receive a letter informing you of some issue. In this case; a storm in a teacup. It appears many people did not read the letter; or hear the explanation given by officials at last council; understandable under the present COVID 19 situation. If one reads the letter correctly one sees the issue is more to do with numbers taken for use in an equation, and a process conducted with faulty math; concerning contaminates we all live with in time where human impacts on nature, and the legacy of industrial impacts and lack of future concerns on the environment ; a laissez faire approach to product production is now catching up to everybody. Using Mother Earth as a trash dump has now come back to haunt us.

Parsippany was Lost but now is Found.
It appears people need to be aware that It Was Mayor Soriano who was caring enough to bring Parsippany into Conformance under the The Highlands Water Protection and Planning Act a law signed in August 2004 that will preserve open space and protect the state's greatest diversity of natural resources including the precious water resources that supply drinking water to more than half of New Jersey's families. The Last Administration, under Inglesino, rejected this accomplishment,of having Parsippany aided in its Planning under the Highlands Act,this would've easily saved waterview and more..Most people are not aware of where they live, as far as environmental, issue of ecology or geology.

The Industry has their political cronies calling the Stormwater and Flood Control Act; a rain tax. Not true its a tax on large corporate real estate of impervious surface that through runoff pollutes our land and water sources...Sad people complain, but can't decipher their health concerns for a few dollars; in the stormwater case, Commercial Real Estate, pays, not the citizen.

Ponder this you are now paying to have your recycles; mostly plastic waste taken; as no one wants it, the recycle hoax is up; so your tax dollars are now used to remove corporate waste; and water taken, a public trust resource and sold for profit by the corporate power. Our recent tipping fees for waste removal; including recycle (not counting litter) was $1,712,029.52. Corporate irresponsibility and laissez faire policies of "washington" costs US all in many ways none good.

Thank You Mayor Soriano; and Council for doing the right thing for all of us! Finally... Water is Life.. Good Land Use Cannot Be Separated from Good Water; especially in a place like Parsippany; which is a giant groundwater recharge area to the buried valley aquifer; the water we drink. Former Mayor Mimi Letts was also a Highlands Council Member and advocate.
