Life in a vacuum, shows a alienation from nature itself. Just said to my wife, the town must be full of trash by now. No sensible and caring society would produce such a phenomena.the ability to think and behave in a reasonable way and to make good decisions.
Overshoot is a ecology term, when things exceed limits of sustainability and proper management. Plastic is a form of overshoot, it is now in our soil, water, and even our bodies.
Two causes we must consider 1. Efficient Cause: the manufacturer who allows the abuse or outcome to continue despite the result. 2. Instrumental Cause: the disrespectful offender who litters or acts only for his own convenience.
*(The same convenience promoted by corporate advertising badgering the population in convincing them they want things they don't need, and have harmful impacts as the outcome.)

In a sane society the outcome is always more important than the intention, in this case the intention is convenient senseless waste consumption for profit by the plastics industry. Government as intended failed to regulate and profit supersedes the health, wellbeing, and costs to the public.
Perhaps these Corporate CEOs' behind their tinted expensive car windows shield themselves as they drive to their gated enclosures; never to see or care, as they count their money. We need less single-use plastics allowed yet, we are making more!
No economic interest should ever be placed above the reverence for life; but that is what we have in a free market. The recent past train wreck in East Palestine Ohio, resulted in free market safety deregulation, as it's cargo of Vinyl chloride being used to make even more plastics, derailed among the people and homes. .In Plastic production a petroleum derivative not only is vinyl chloride used , it requires mercury . Cancer one would suppose is spread by free market products made with vinyl chloride and mercury.
*Going back to the Exxon Valdez was can find that the oil spill was never actually cleaned up, and slowly and secretly Exxon slip out on it's responsibility.
Plastics pollution in itself is a factor and part of the climate change aspects. Plastic are everywhere. Perhaps plastic is the trickle-down economic wonder we have all been waiting for? The recent wind events over the last few weeks are also not a seasonal norm.
Mr Venezia said several other things about individuals misusing corporate products, and blaming China for climate change, alleging the US is clean, and dandy. Any person researching reliable scientific studies on man-made climate change can easily disprove all of this statements. Mr. Venezia's contention don't blame corporations, they require no responsibility toward nature, or community. His statement on US Zero emissions was totally bizarre.

Climate change is a priority for the ruling Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Chinese government. In 2020, China's leader Xi Jinping pledged to “peak carbon dioxide emissions before 2030” and “achieve carbon neutrality before 2060”
China is also a late developing nation , as carbon emissions are built up over-time in cumulative effects we here in the US have surely contributed more, as carbon and greenhouse gases are accretive in nature. China's modernization has benefited their entire population unlike ours, and they are ahead in green energy technology and converting to sustainable energy sources, curtailing fossil fuels. We should be cooperating with China, not scheming up embargoes and tariffs; especially since corporation have moved their operations there for increased profits at the expense of jobs. Blaming China for climate change, is not factually based on the reality of the phenomena and how it came to be a crisis because of fossil fuel use, and demise of the biosphere through senseless over-development and deforestation for example. We are now emitting more carbon into the atmosphere than nature is capable of sequestering through it's ecological services. Trees and plants sequester carbon and emit oxygen, loss of biodiversity and habitat, deforestation is another big factor in manmade , anthropomorphic climate change.
Man Made Climate Change is real it's no hoax, and scientist do know what they are finding in what is happening to the Earth Biosphere due to industrial man's eco- footprint. We have gone too far any good our way of life once had, is gone, we are now doing more harm than good, and are somehow incapable of a remedy. Life is not a business it's a ecological covenant with nature and community, in this we have none.
