Louis Theroux's "Inside the manosphere" premiered in the US this week
A documentary about the ultra-masculine influencers who live-stream to young, impressionable men

This week Louis Theroux's documentary TV show "Inside the manosphere" premiered in the US. It takes a look at the lives of a few ultra-masculine influencers who claim to have escaped the 9 to 5 through the popularity they've garnered on their media platforms.
The influencers produce streaming sessions in which they talk about fitness, trading in crypto-currency and how to win girls. Some of what they talk about is offensive and controversial. There is no shortage of sexism, homophobia, and racism.
One of the criticisms of the show has been that Theroux tries to use morality and logic to appeal to his subjects' better instincts. What he should perhaps have addressed is the artificial nature of the world these men create. Perhaps in his next program on the subject he could interview any victims who may have been emotionally and psychologically scammed by them.
