RANDOLPH, NJ — Morris County's COVID-19 testing site, which reopened this week, will cut hours Monday because of a forecasted winter storm. The site — located in the Student Center at the County College of Morris in Randolph — will operate from 1-7 p.m. that day.

That means the site will open late and continue administering tests a bit later than usual. The center's typical hours are 7 a.m. to 6:45 p.m., except from 12:30-1 p.m., seven days per week.

The National Weather Service predicts snow, possibly mixed with sleet, to begin Sunday night in the region. Monday's forecast calls for rain and snow — becoming all snow after 10 a.m. and gradually ending.

Though the forecast remains largely uncertain as of Thursday, AccuWeather said a subtle shift off the coast could mean more snow for the Garden State.

"Should the storm manage to drift 50 miles or so off the coast while heading northward, I-95 cities from Washington, D.C., to Philadelphia, New York City and Boston could be buried in snow with little or no rain and ice mixing in," said AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Bill Deger.

Morris County's COVID-19 testing center reopened Monday. The site will administer 800-900 tests daily for at least this week and beyond until the surge in COVID-19 cases weakens, according to county officials. Read more: Nearly 1K COVID Tests Offered Daily At Morris County Site

Patients have been advised that the national demand for testing has inundated laboratories and delayed analysis. So results that would typically become available in 24 to 48 hours may take more than three days to obtain.

Testing is appointment-only, and they must be scheduled at Morris County's COVID-19 information webpage. No one can walk into the facility without an appointment.
