NJAASC Announces Board Elections Results

Jared Gaccione, Elizabeth Convery, RN, and Trina Brinkley, RN, BSN, MSN to serve three-year terms

The New Jersey Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers (NJAASC) has announced that Jared Gaccione, Managing Partner at Ambulatory Management, has been elected to the Board for his first three-year term. In addition, Elizabeth Convery, RN, Administrator at Livingston Surgical Center and Trina Brinkley, RN, BSN, MSN, Administrator of Freehold Endoscopy Associates, have been reelected to the board to serve three-year terms.

Other current NJAASC board members include:

  1. Meg Stagliano, MBA, MSN, RN, Senior Vice President of Ambulatory Surgery at RWJBarnabas Health, NJAASC Board President
  2. Cori Prisco, RN, DNP, Administrator of Short Hills Surgery Center, NJAASC Board Vice President
  3. Sheila McAteer-Sturek, RN, BSN, MHA, AVP Ambulatory Development and Operations at Virtua Health
  4. Aaron Shechter, CASC, CEO/Administrator of Hackensack Endoscopy Center, Endoscopy Center of Bergen County

“New Jersey’s ambulatory surgery centers continue to view the growing regulatory and business demands they face as pathways to innovation, greater efficiencies and superior care delivery. Under the guidance of the Board, NJAASC is committed to helping our members navigate and succeed in this ever-shifting environment by providing opportunities to learn and become informed, as well as connect with resources and colleagues,” explained Meg Stagliano, MBA, MSN, RN, President of NJAASC’s Board.

Its membership is currently comprised of more than 180 members, including member centers and vendor and associate members.
