Former Republican Council Tax- Hypocrites
If former Mayor Soriano was rejected for his minor request for a tax increase, that would of included water/sewer infrastructure at the time.How can the present administration that raised taxes twice and increased water/sewer, say their is not sufficient funds, or be transparent as to how these funds will be used?
When Mayor Soriano's request for an average homeowner increase of less than $5 a month was turned down by some the same Council who allowed this administration to raise tax and water fees, it is local power politics at its worse, putting political party over the community, being hypocrites. The community is the intention, of the public trust not the political party.

Senior Citizens making up to $104,000 a year can receive Senior Property Tax freeze; so what crisis for the seniors alleged by the former Council during Soriano's Mayorialship ? Soriano was badgered and impeded in his budget during covid, by Mayor Barberio "Hang on to your wallets" . BOE officials also unfairly and inappropriately attacked the Mayor at the time.

The real problem is the regressive upside down federal tax system, trickle up. Yes people the system itself you worship so much.

Sanitation Free for all, costs all of us
We spend $ 2 million (+-) for sanitation costs due to single stream, which discourages good practices and source separation. We all must split this 2 million, and it drains down those who do practice source separation. Splitting a sanitation fee of single source is not a common good.

According to N.J.A.C. 7:26A-1.3, “source separation” or “ source separated” means, the process by which recyclable materials are separated at the point of generation by the generator thereof, from solid waste for the purposes of recycling.

In 2019 The tipping fee was $97.85/ton, therefore in 2019
Parsippany Township Direct Cost - 19,132 tons x $97.85/ton = $1,872,006.

Recycle Law has been in effect since 1987. Plastics have made it a joke. Parsippany does not enforce this law, and it helps increase costs to taxpayers in tipping fees, and allows bad practices, and the corporate plastic manufactured pollution to increase at our expense and degraded community.

Paying Taxes is part of being any society, the dilemma is what do we get in return, and who actually pays for what or for whom. Being Frugal "was an old american tradition" we have given up on ways to actually be frugal, or money as an actual utility.

Utility, in economics, refers to the usefulness or enjoyment a consumer can get from a service or good. Although the concept of utility is abstract, it is a useful way to explain how and why consumers make their decisions. "Ordinal" utility refers to the concept of one good being more useful or desirable than another.

Apparently we have enough money to allow 30 year PILOT deals to rich corporate developers. Oh, hang on to your wallets.
