Parsippany-Based Company Breaks World Record: Largest Game Of Freeze Dance

Pacira BioSciences, Inc. ran the competition in which more than 1,300 participated. A Guinness World Records judge confirmed the record.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — It's official, and Guinness World Records even says so. A Parsippany-based company played a major part in breaking a world record for the largest game of freeze dance.

Pacira BioSciences, Inc., which has its corporate office in Parsippany, broke the record with the National Senior Games Association in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

A total of 1,308 people participated in the game May 16. An official Guinness judge who was on-site confirmed the new world record.

Organizers specifically chose freeze dance as a nod to iovera° — a handheld device manufactured by Pacira that delivers extreme cold therapy to treat nerves and reduce pain without the use of drugs, the company says. The use of the non-opioid treatment option can help reduce side effects associated with opioids, such as nausea, constipation, dizziness or drowsiness, according to Pacira. Jesse Lee Falling — of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma — won the game of freeze dance. Falling attended the event to support his mother, who competed in track and field.
