Parsippany Man Sentenced to 12 Years in Prison for Sexually Abusing Boy

Keith Harp pleaded guilty to sexual assault after molesting child over six-year period, report says.

A Parsippany man who repeatedly sexually molested a boy during a six-year period and pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated sexual assault was sentenced Friday to 12 years in prison.

According to dailyrecord.com, Keith Harp, 46, molested the boy from 2006 to 2011, when he was ultimately arrested and charged. Harp said he took the plea deal to spare the victim the trauma of trial, the report said. The victim is now 15-years-old.

Harp’s sentence comes with no parole eligibility until he has served at least 10 years and four months in prison, the report said. Upon his release he will need to register as a convicted sex offender. He will also be on probation for life.
