Parsippany Mayor To Hold 1st In-Person Town Hall Since March 2020

Members of the public will be able to ask officials questions at the Aug. 24 event.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Parsippany will hold its first in-person Mayor's Town Hall since the pandemic began. The public will be able to ask questions to Mayor Michael Soriano and officials from different departments at 7 p.m. Aug. 24 in the Parsippany PAL building (33 Baldwin Rd.).

Officials will assemble a makeshift dais and discuss a wide range of topics impacting the township. Residents will also have the opportunity to ask questions of civic leaders on subjects or issues impacting their neighborhoods or greater community.

The event will include officials from Engineering, Parks & Forestry, Finance, Police, Business Administration, the Mayor’s Action Center, Public Works, and Construction & Zoning.

Masks are strongly encouraged.

“Sadly, the pandemic changed the feasibility of holding this critical forum over the past year,” Soriano said. “It’s been far too long since we’ve met with the community, and it’s time we return to engaging face to face, and mind to mind.”
