Parsippany Native Fighting For Life in Battle Against MRSA
Sheena Cloninger has established a GoFundMe page to help with daily medical costs.

When Sheena Cloninger had her gallbladder removed two years ago, she didn’t expect her health to get worse. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened.
The Parsippany High School graduate from the class of 1999 moved to South Carolina a few years ago to care for her ailing father. While living there, Cloninger (nee Stewart) married and had a son. She also entered a fight for her life.
When Cloninger went to the hospital for gallbladder removal more than two years ago, she came out with antibiotic-resistant methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus, better known by the acronym MRSA. Along with the infection, Cloninger has had more than 75 external abscesses and many internally as well.

Because of the illness, Cloninger is relegated to the hospital up to four times a week for intravenous antibiotics and to “scrub” the abscesses. All that treatment comes with a cost, however, and one that has drained Cloninger and her family.
A GoFundMe page was created to help Parsippany native with medical costs and has raised $2,210 over the past year. That page can be found here.
