Parsippany Police To Hold 'Coffee With A Cop'
The program is designed to help police and the public build relations in a casual atmosphere.
PARSIPPANY, NJ — The Parsippany Police Department will host a "Coffee with a Cop" event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 30 at Spencer Savings Bank (1699 Littleton Rd.).
The national Coffee with a Cop program is designed to help police and the public build relations and trust in a casual environment. The initiative began 10 years ago in Hawthorne, California, when officers looked for ways to more successfully interact with the community.
Since then, Coffee with a Cop has spread to all 50 states and Canada, Latin America, Europe, Africa and Australia.
