Parsippany from Rateable Chase to PILOT Deals

Rebuttal to Inglesino rhetoric Council November 9th on PILOT Deals

Inglesino has mislead the town many times in the past; and the Council, in the previous Barberio Administration at the time, performed no due diligence.

Ask what good has the rateable chase done Parsippany if the municipal taxes keep rising? Why was our water/sewer surplus used for tax gimmicks, and still continues to be? When the water infrastructure failed during Soriano's time, the cupboard was bare. That is where the $26-million went; and remember COVID at the same time. Councilwoman McCarthy explained it all at the time; how can people forget?
When people vote strictly on party lines, not the substance of the real issues, they do themselves a great disfavor. Inglesino is also a high figure within the State County Republican circles, their campaign funding comes from the corporate developers that are now asking for tax breaks. As a senior citizens on a set income do we not warrant the same; or reduced taxes on BOE, and for medical and dental necessities?

Parsippany has gone from the rateable chase to the PILOT Deal Bribes. Besides, the water-sewer surplus being used for other purposes, and then having major water/sewer infrastructure failures, and the money not being there. Ask; are the former Inglesino PILOT DEALS a cause for the tax increases, and the water/sewer fee increases?

Speculation-Over-Development was never considered for its future potential for Blight as defined as empty vacant unoccupied. Parsippany set itself up for the Housing Onslaught by being over-developed. You can't challenge affordable housing, but you sure can do things like more malls, and warehouses. This takes political courage and caring for your community first, not corporate real estate barons. Corporate Real Estate will continue to determine Parsippany's Future to the extreme. A town is not a business, it's a public trust. Never in the history of democratic societies has the populace been more removed from the decision-making process than it is today. Our Collective Global future is being made behind closed doors by trade representatives-appointed officials with the blessing of amorphous, transnational corporations.

NO WAY should a warehouse receive a PILOT, let the big corporate online monopolies like Amazon; Jeff Bezos sponsor his own empire, not local taxpayers. We pay taxes. He evades them. Why should our common good, community, and quality of life be subjected to Bezo's type. In these individuals/corporations are people in pursuit of happiness?!!

PILOT was made for corporate profits, not for the benefit of the community. Keep the present land tax and wait for something better.
