Parsippany's Temple Beth Am Celebrates a New Year

Local synagogue holds gatherings to mark the start of Jewish year 5772.

Temple Beth Am is gearing up for a good and sweet . The Parsippany reform congregation will come together this week for services to commemorate the start of the Jewish New Year.

For Wednesday, the Erev Rosh Hashanah service begins with a candle lighting at 6:26 p.m. The main services start at 8 p.m.

Thursday, the synagogue will offer two services--an early one at 9 a.m. and the late one at 12:30 p.m. The afternoon service will be followed by a Tashlikh ritual.

The commemoration culminates Friday with a 10 a.m. worship --gathering. No tickets are required for this service.
