Providing Holiday Cheer to Our Troops in the Middle East

The New Jersey State Federation of Women's Clubs (NJSFWC) is once again conducting a statewide project in support of Operation Yellow Ribbon, which is an official 501(c)(3) organization that supports our military forces serving in the Middle East. For ten years, clubs throughout NJ prepare and send holiday stockings for troops serving our nation overseas.

We have lots of stockings to fill, but because of COVID-19 and isolation, it has been difficult to distribute stockings to those Parsippany citizens who would like to help. If anyone would care to fill a stocking or contribute toward this effort, please call Bernadette Cicchino at 973-970-5773. Stockings are provided free of charge and all instructions are attached. Deadline for delivery of stockings is October 12, 2020.

The Woman's Club and Operation Yellow Ribbon are both 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations. This project supports all military personnel serving in the Middle East, including Iraq and Afghanistan and those supporting Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Inherit Resolve.

The Woman’s Club of Parsippany-Troy Hills is a member of NJSFWC, which is the largest volunteer women's service organization in the state, providing opportunities for education, leadership training, and community service. General Meetings are held the fourth Monday of each month from September to April at 7:00 pm at the Lake Parsippany Rescue & Recovery, 100 Centerton Dr., Parsippany.
