Recycling Poems By Parsippany Students Win Statewide Prizes

The Students took home top, statewide honors for their environmentally friendly poems.

PARSIPPANY, NJ— These students might understand the importance of recycling, but their poems were totally original: three Parsippany students won state honors for their poems on recycling.

Fourth grader Sienna Dragone, fifth grader Chris Stearns, and sixth grader Ami Balli were among 12 statewide winners for the Department of Environmental Protection's 2016 State Recycling Poetry Contest.

Another Morris County student, Gabriella Casamento, of Boonton, also won for her poem.
