Time For Kids To Unmask? Here's What Parsippany Parents Say
Patch asked Parsippany parents whether they'll be OK with their kids not masking at school when it becomes optional. Here's what they said.
PARSIPPANY, NJ — March 7 can't come soon enough for some Parsippany parents, but others might not change a thing. That's when New Jersey will drop its mask mandate for K-12 schools, and when the Parsippany-Troy Hills School District aims to make masks optional.
Parsippany Patch asked parents whether they'll let their children attend school without a mask when they become optional. Here were some of the responses:
"Yes, my son had a sinus infection for over 3 months that was made worse from the mask. I also can't wait to see his face coming out of school everyday."

The New Jersey Department of Health promised additional guidance to K-12 schools on the end of the state's mask mandate for their facilities.
"This will be critical, for current protocol allows students to return from quarantine to in-person attendance as long as they correctly and consistently wear a mask for the remainder of their 10-day quarantine," Superintendent Dr. Barbara Sargent wrote to the school community. "We also need to understand how contact tracing will be handled, if at all."
