Waterview Marketplace In Parsippany: What We Know So Far
Here's what we know about the new shopping center being built in Parsippany.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — As construction gets underway on the upcoming Waterview Marketplace in Parsippany, there's still plenty of questions about what stores are moving in and when they'll start to open. Here's what we know so far about the planned shopping center.
Where is it?
The Waterview Marketplace is being built on Route 46 between Waterview Boulevard and Intervale Road. The builders are looking to add a traffic light at the Waterview Boulevard entrance to help with traffic concerns.

How many other stores can the plaza hold?
According to a site plan on the management company's website, there is still one more store with no tennant. No word on what might move into that space.
Hasn't this been in the works for a while now?
Yes. The Whole Foods, which is a new construction, was first announced in 2012 as part of a large project that included condos. It was met with mixed reactions from locals: many residents were excited the upscale grocer was coming to town, while others said the proposed location would negatively impact nearby homes. The company was originally hoping to open in 2015, a date that's long passed as the developer, RD Management, sued the township over zoning requirements.
Eventually the town council denied the project, and RD Management refiled plans for the plaza in mid-2014, omitting townhouses.
