Waterview No Rezone Should not be forgotten but remembered

Former Mayor Barberio insists that the reason the waterview open space funding of all it's acres did not occur was because a group including me; and former Councilman Nelson appeared in Morristown Open Space Meeting; and asked for the funds not to be given. Not true... (How could we possess such power?)

Getting Slick. The Silence After the No Rezone Vote
We were there because we found out he was trying to be slick; he only asked for funds for 9+acres the buffer; as open space.. We insisted the funding be part of all the acreage; not for a buffer that could of been zoned; as accomplished the same purpose. He also never activated the Open Space or Environmental Committees after the October 2014 No Rezone vote and his promise. (one reason he was reelected was his promise to save waterview as open space.

If Law-firm was Employed by Parsippany why was RD dismissed without Predjuice?
I was also in court when Inglesino dismissed RD without predjuice; allowing them to threaten again with lawsuits. Council at the time used "our hands are tied" or if anything was revealed they would suffer. Public Housing was used as a threat;. Finally to cover his tracks Inglesino ended completely Parsippany's Highlands Conformance with R2014-102; of which he had stopped anyway. If Inglesino was being paid by our tax dollars, why did he without predjuice allow RD to return after the No Rezone Vote? After both Nelson and Stanton were no longer Council Members the situation changed ignoring the previous accomplishment of the grassroots No Rezone.

Finally No Rezone then Betrayal. Barberio alleges He did pursue the 26.75 acres after the No Rezone Evidence shows otherwise.

Waterview No Rezone Council Vote 2014: Betrayed: Block 421 Lot 29 “Waterview” to determine the earliest time Green Acres was made aware of the Township’s intent to purchase the property as open space, as I believe that is the issue you are trying to resolve.

Morris County Open Space Committee voted 12-1 against Parsippany’s Waterview application.

“Waterview” appears to be a file that was created in 2013, as you had suggested. However the Township did not pursue it at that time. It wasn’t until 2017 that it became an active file and an updated project reference map with the decreased acreage was submitted.
Therefore, I wanted to correct my earlier statement that the Township did not identify this property in 2013. The township did identify the property in November 2013, however they did not pursue it. The project reference map submitted in 2013 identified the total acreage of 26.75 acres to be encumbered. It would appear that a decision was made after that time to subdivide the lot and encumber only 9.26 acres as of 2017. .

The loss of waterview landscape further injured our groundwater recharge in the highest water deficit in the Highlands. It without just cause changed the character of the immediate neighborhood forever without just cause. It ignored a Rutgers Study recommending this very landscape for preservation for water quantity /quality issues of stormwater. Elements of our own Master Plan meant nothing.

The ripoff

The Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills paid $3.5 million for a total of 10.63 acres of land. RD Realty, LLC, retained the remainder of the property or 16.01 acres for the remainder of $4.0 million. Parsippany paid approximately $320,910 per acre, while RD Realty paid $250,000 per acre for the prime portion of the property, facing Route 46 and Waterview Boulevard.

Cannot help believing Saint Christopher development threat was also set in motion during Inglesino's reign; as the local neighborhood was never consulted at the time. How could GTP clientele not remember who and when exactly first set up the deal?

A vote for Sorinao is a vote for Parsippany, not other interests or agendas.
