• Pedestrian Killed in Paterson Crash; Driver Charged With DUI (tapinto.net) — A man was killed Sunday night after being hit by an SUV near 23rd Avenue and Trenton Avenue in Paterson, and the 25-year-old local driver is now charged with DUI. The victim has not yet been identified, and investigators are asking anyone who saw the crash or has information to contact the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office.

• Flash flood rip through Connecticut, New Jersey (thehornnews.com) — Paterson emergency crews rescued about 20 people from sudden floodwaters Sunday, including a woman who fell from her wheelchair and was swept into the street. Despite the morning deluge that soaked northern New Jersey and nearby states, Paterson's annual Dominican parade still stepped off later that afternoon, giving residents a chance to celebrate after a tense day.

• Congresswoman Pou Calls on United to Save Nonstop Newark→Lima Flights (insidernj.com) — Paterson's Little Lima could lose its most convenient air link to Peru as United plans to end the long-running nonstop flight between Newark and Lima in 2027. Congressmember Nellie Pou, speaking from Paterson, is urging the airline to pause the cancellation, arguing it would burden local Peruvian-American families and businesses that rely on direct travel for visits and commerce.
