Point Pleasant Man Had 1,000 Child Sex Assault Images, Prosecutor Says
The man pleaded guilty to possession of the images, the prosecutor's office said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A Point Pleasant man has pleaded guilty to possessing child sexual abuse material, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said Monday.
James R. Vavra, 75, had more than 1,000 images of children being sexually assaulted on his electronic devices when he was arrested Oct. 23, Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.
Authorities had been alerted by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that a person was uploading images of child sexual abuse to the internet, and an investigation by the prosecutor's office traced the IP address to Vavra's home, the prosecutor's office said.
