Seniors, Disabled Need Snow Shovelers In Point Pleasant, Can You Help?
Police Chief Christopher Leonhardt has asked members of the community to lend a hand to some of their neighbors.
POINT PLEASANT, NJ — Point Pleasant police are seeking the community's help in shoveling the driveways and sidewalks of several elderly and disabled residents in town.
Police Chief Christopher Leonhardt said the police department has received several requests from residents who are unable to shovel themselves out.
Leonhardt said anyone willing to help could leave contact information on the police department's Facebook post (see it below and click it to read the post).

Those who want to help but don't want to post information on Facebook can call the police department at 732-892-0060.
"We will forward your information to residents who are still in need of assistance," Leonhardt said.

He said the initial request for help had led to connecting multiple residents with snow shovelers.
"This type of community outreach is what makes Point Pleasant Borough such a wonderful place to live, and we truly appreciate everyone who is willing to lend a hand," Leonhardt said.
