2 Charged In Fatal Shooting Of Princeton Resident: Prosecutor
Elias Juarez Lopez of Princeton was found in the 800 block of Roebling Avenue on Oct. 3 with gunshot wounds. Two men have been charged.
PRINCETON, NNJ — Two Trenton men have been charged in connection with the shooting death of Princeton resident Elias Juarez Lopez, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said Thursday.
Thaddeus J. Adams, 40, and Clarence Williams, 35, are each charged with murder, felony murder, attempted murder, two counts of robbery, and multiple weapons offenses. Both men were arrested in Trenton Thursday morning by members of the Mercer County Tactical Response Team with assistance from HTF detectives and the Mercer County Narcotics Task Force, Onofri said.
Around 12:50 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 3, police responded to the intersection of Roebling Avenue and Washington Street for shots fired. Lopez, 31, of Princeton was found in the 800 block of Roebling Avenue with no pulse, authorities said. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later, officials said.
