2 Homes, 1 Car Burglarized In Princeton

In one of the burglaries, a refrigerator was moved out of the kitchen and placed it in front of the front door.

PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton Police reported multiple burglaries to homes and cars in the town recently.

On Feb. 13 at 10:07 a.m.: The victim reported that their unoccupied home in the 100 block of Snowden Lane had been burglarized sometime between 3 p.m. on Feb. 10 and 10 a.m. on Feb. 13. Someone had entered the residence, removed the refrigerator from the kitchen, and placed it directly in front of the front door. Patrols found that the lock box to the residence had been compromised and the key was missing.

On Feb. 13 at 4:41 p.m.: The complainant reported that the key in the lock box of their client’s unoccupied home in the 100 block of Herrontown Road had been stolen. The lock box was damaged and there appeared to be an attempt to enter the residence.

On Feb. 14 at 8:28 a.m.: The victim reported that their unlocked vehicle had been burglarized sometime between 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 13 and 8 a.m. on Feb. 14. The vehicle was entered and several pieces of property were stolen. The value of the loss was estimated to be about $1,300.

On Feb. 9 at 12:54 a.m.: A license plate inquiry revealed that the registered owner of the vehicle that Selester Morris, 25, of Morrisville was operating had a suspended driver's license on University Place. Morris was stopped on University Place and the registered owner of the vehicle, Diamante Hall, 23, of Ewing, proved to be a passenger, not the driver. Both Morris and Hall were later arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substance(CDS) after suspected marijuana was located inside the vehicle subsequent to a probable cause search. Morris and Hall were later released with summonses and a pending court date.

On Feb. 10 at 12:05 p.m.: The victim reported that their Michael Korsmini backpack was stolen sometime between 6 and 11 p.m. on Feb. 8 while attending an event at the 100 block of Moore Street. The bag contained $700 in currency as well as several personal items. The loss is estimated to be $1,070.

On Feb. 11 at 10:05 a.m.: The victim reported that the front license plate of their vehicle was stolen at about 3 p.m. on Feb. 9 while it was parked on the 100 Block of Nassau Street.

On Feb. 11 at 8:43 p.m.: A license plate inquiry revealed that the registered owner of the vehicle, Keisha Bailey, 40, of Princeton had multiple outstanding warrants. Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on University Place, Bailey proved to be the driver of the vehicle. Bailey was placed under arrest and was later released on her own recognizance.

On Feb. 12 at 9:39 p.m.: Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on State Road for failure to keep right and maintenance of lamps, Daryll Montalvo, 26, of Jersey City was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Montalvo was placed under arrest and was charged with possession of marijuana as well as hindering apprehension. He was later released with summonses with a pending court date.

On Feb. 13 at 3:32 p.m.: The victim reported that their vehicle parked on the 200 block of Walnut Lane had been scratched by an unknown tool sometime between 7 and 11:15 a.m. on Feb. 10.
