AvalonBay to Begin Princeton Construction Project This Month
Construction on the residential building is set to begin late March and early April, according to the Princeton Packet.

AvalonBay plans to begin construction on its residential development at the site of the old Princeton Hospital in late March and early April, the Princeton Packet reports.
This includes laying footings and foundations for the 280-unit site, according to the report.
The development may open in stages before the entire building is complete, according to the report.

Last week, Princeton Mayor Liz Lempert made a series of recommendations to the state on how to improve building codes following a fire at an AvalonBay complex in Edgewater in January.
Suggestions were to include requiring sprinklers in attic spaces, and lining masonry stairwells, elevator shafts and firewalls with fire-resistant materials.
